BOTH Madison Prewett and Selena Gomez have been vocal about “faith” being big parts of their personal lives, but now the Bachelor star’s revealed it helped bring them together, too.

The two started up a whirlwind friendship earlier this year, when quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic first began.

Shortly after Madison, 24, and Bachelor’s Peter Weber, 28, broke up, she became friends with Selena, who was a big fan of the show this past season and had been rooting for Madi.

The reality star was front and center in the Disney alum’s coronavirus quarantine Instagram story, where they were seen picking up a cartful of board games before heading back to Sel’s place for a little game night fun.

Now, Madi’s letting fans in on what the “foundation” of their friendship has been: Faith.

The 24-year-old told Us Weekly: “[Faith] is something that is just a really big part of our friendship. I’m very selective with who I allow to really, like, get really, really close to me.

They were picking up some fun things to do while they quarantined together for a little bit at the start of the pandemic[/caption]

“And with those that I really invite into that space, it’s really important to me that we’re pushing each other and encouraging each other in our faith.

“And just being there for each other on the good days, the bad days and encouraging and praying for each other along the way.”

Selena fans know how important this has always been to her, and she’s been very vocal about her love of Jesus and God.

Not only does she one of the many stars who frequents the Hillsong Church, but she also recently opened up about her faith after releasing her song Lose You to Love Me in October 2019.

She tweeted: “I’m literally just laying down and thanking Jesus. He always surprises me and I re-fall in love with Him every single time.

“In my worst moments, like awful, most painful moments — I never stopped falling to my knees wanting and needing only His love.”

As for Madison, she shared her beliefs during her time on The Bachelor, noting toward the end of season 24 that it was important to her that she saved herself for marriage.

Because of her strong religious values, she said faith is also what she looks for in a romantic relationship, as well.

She shared with the outlet: “That’s going to be something that’s like, that’s a make or break.

“I want to be with someone that is pushing me to be the best that I can be and challenging me to grow and to be the best version of myself.”
